Background
Beer concept for swedish brewery Brutal Brewing. We had to create a beer in the category industrial lager which would be able to sell itself without a marketing budget.

Insight
Industrial lager is a pretty bland beer that doesn't really stick out in any way. It's cheap and you know what you get every time you buy it. It might be perceived as a dull and safe beer but it offers a comfort and a friend in an ever changing world where new kinds of beer are developed all the time.

Solution
We wanted to create a friendly and inviting beer that would stick out in the shelves. A beer which's strength is the fact that you know exactly what you get and that it's not trying to look expensive and exclusive.

Create the graphic profile for Sonys upcoming generation 8 console that would be released 2012. The console was not supposed to go under the "Playstation" brand so we had to come up with a completely new name and identity.

The Market
More and more people play video games in some form, whether it's on you smartphone or on a super gaming computer we all play more games.

It's also more socially accepted than ever and people continue playing games even as they get older. Just a couple of years ago people would look at you like were a freak if you said you played games if you were over a certain age.

Competitors
The current competitors avaliable (7th generation of videogames) on the market are Nintendo's Wii and Microsoft's XBOX 360.

The Xbox is competing for the same audience as Sony's PS3, both of them have powerful hardware and games that are aimed at a an older target group that typically sees themselves as gamers.
Nintendo on the other hand is mainly aiming for casual gamers by lowering the hardware specs and thus being able to sell the console cheaper than Microsoft and Sony. They've also focused on new ways to interact with the games which attracts an group that would not see themselves as gamers.

Nintendo recently announced that they are going to release their generation 8 console (currently titled Wii U) in 2012. The hardware specs would be at the level of the current generation 7 consoles from Sony and Microsoft and they will still focus on developing new innovative ways of interacting with the games. Since the hardware specs will be on the level of todays generation they will likely be able to sell it for a low price and once again target the casual gamers.

Microsoft has yet to announce their next generation console and have said that they will have no new hardware to present at the 2012 Electronic entertainment expo but indications are that developers already have development kits and beta versions of their new console and that it's set for a late 2013 or early 2014 release.

Strategy
Since Nintendo is strong with the casual gamers and Microsoft will enter the new generation later sony should target the "real gamers" that take their gaming seriously. In order to do that and to be able to withstand microsoft when they release their new console the hardware must be great.

Great hardware means that the console will be expensive, especially since the hardware prices have gone up in Asia after all the natural disasters. Therefore Sony should also target a an older more affluent target group that would have the money to invest in the console and the games.

Design
Apart from reflecting the strategy I also wanted to make the design more gender neutral since both men and women of all ages plays games.

Background
We were given the task to create our own dream magazine. We had to come up with the main concept, the design and logo.

Insight
When speaking to people that were in to the same things as I am (music, design, streetwear and sneakers) they felt that the magazines out today didn't really appeal to them anymore in terms of design because they were mainly designed for teenage boys and also since a lot of them didn't really go deeper into the subjects they didn't feel that it was worth reading the full magazine. So they had stopped reading them.

Art & Soul
I created a magazine that would focus on music, streetwear and sneakers but it would have more articles that would dwell deeper into the subject and focus on things that you might not typically see in other magazines with this type of content.

The design would also have more of the aesthetics of more exclusive magazines to attract a slightly older target group that didn't really feel that the other magazines was for them anymore.
